The Technology Support Specialist will be responsible for general IT troubleshooting, installing, and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
Providing technical support across the company, you will respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests, managing your task list using Asana, the in-house project management system. Typical tasks will include assisting with onboarding processes by setting up new accounts for new users, repairing and replacing equipment as necessary, and testing new technology. Reporting to the IT & Cybersecurity Manager, you will monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, and assist with ad-hoc duties as required. There will be opportunities for professional development and involvement in project work for the right candidate.
The Successful Applicant:
You will be comfortable assisting a broad range of people with varying degrees of technical understanding with both general and sometimes unique IT issues – our global team includes both highly technical engineers and developers, and staff that are far less technically savvy. Patient and practical by nature, you're able to prioritize between conflicting “urgent” requests, acting promptly where critical issues may arise. This role entails providing support both in person and by phone to staff based both in New Zealand or our global locations, and your nature is to remain calm in situations when things don’t work as planned!
